I will miss John sense of humour, kindness and wisdom. Working with him was fun, regardless of a task. May he rest in peace.

I met John in 1980 while we were both in grad school ASU in Tempe. We’ve been friends since then. Since Zoom we’ve met monthly to discuss science, politics, family, and old times. All will agree, John was an intellectual, a scientist, and a man of many considered opinions. I will miss his personality. He was sincere, honest, and full of wit. I enjoyed his company and he is a loss to me and my wife.
