Fond memories of Bob.
I had the pleasure of working with him on his Milkround for 10 years.
Unlike today's society, back in the 70's and 80's the local milkman didn't just deliver milk, he was also a man of all trades, the eyes and ears of the local community.
Besides delivering milk, Bob was also a man of good deeds, sometimes simple helpful things such as filling up the coal bucket for the elderly and taking it into the house with his milk delivery.
Giving regular lifts to elderly gents to Stoke City matches is just another example of Bob's deeds.
I suppose a lasting testament to Bob is that I still tell my grown up children funny stories about working with him and some of the hiarious capers and scrapes we got into.
