Ruth SusanBIRKETTPeacefully in the Margaret Kerr Unit on Tuesday 11th July at Borders General Hospital, Melrose, Ruth, dearly loved Wife of Alistair, treasured and adored Mum of Sam and Jonah, greatly loved and valued Mother-in-Law of Haley and Hannah and beloved Sister of Grace and Margaret. A Service of Thanksgiving for Ruth's life will be held in Duns Parish Church at 11:30am on Monday 24th July followed by the interment at Hutton Cemetery. Afterwards all are welcome for refreshments at Paxton House. Alistair and the family want to express their heartfelt thanks to the team at the Margaret Kerr Unit for the kind and compassionate care Ruth received during the last weeks of her life. Whilst requesting no flowers, the family kindly ask of donations to The Margaret Kerr Unit and the Macmillan Centre at the Borders General Hospital.
