JocelynBROWNIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jocelyn Brown, who left us on 20th February 2023 at 61 years old after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Cardiff on 15th June 1961, Jocelyn Brown was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a charismatic and well-loved individual who never shied away from making connections with people from all walks of life. Her warm personality and ability to put people at ease made her a cherished member of her community in Grangetown, Cardiff and further afield. Her impact on the lives she touched will never be forgotten. Throughout her life, Jocelyn Brown had a passion for netball, hairdressing, and sports, and she shared that passion with those around her. She will be remembered for her achievements in netball, representing Wales at a county, and national level. She is survived by her two sons Jerome and Jordan, grandchildren Summer and Jacob, siblings Heather, Janet, Valerie, Sylvia and Wyngrove, and Father Joseph, who will miss her deeply. She leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, her predeceased mother, Masie whom she loved and missed greatly. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and memories of her beloved family. Rest in peace, Jocelyn. You will be forever missed and always remembered. Resting at Coles Funeral Directors until the celebration of her life to be held on Friday 24th March 2023, 12pm at St Mary the Virgin Church, prior to committal at Western Cemetery at 1.30pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Marie Curie Hospice, Bridgeman Road, Penarth CF64 3YR in memory of Jocelyn. A tribute to Jocelyn who was a beautiful lady with an infectious personality and smile. She was fun loving and spread joy and happiness wherever she went. As soon as you saw her your face your immediate, subconscious reaction was to smile! She was an excellent, committed, high calibre sports woman and dear friend and mother to her sons. She will be sadly missed by all to included her chums of Fitzalan Netball Club. Rest in peace Jocelyn until we meet again xxx
