Hello Simon, dear cousin. Long before I first met you in 1994, 30 years ago, we had a very definite idea of who Cousin ‘Simon’ was. A tousled fair haired cousin doing somersaults in your back garden (badly - we sniggered- as we were all Indian
experts in contortions). It was an old Cine clip showing all your family including dear Aunty Babs. Always welcoming, prepared to make me gallons of tea every time I visited Lichfield, and tell me enthusiastic stories of working at the Nursing Home (with your Matron Mother), much loved and very helpful. Yes, the demons were not far away but you soldiered on. We miss you Simon. Shaun, Aunty Adrienne (who always remembers your birthday and included a little £ inside a card) and I were so blessed to visit you just a few weeks before you slipped away. Much love. You are at peace. May we all join you in that Great Garden, beyond even a child’s imagination - and show off our somersaults forever. Goodbye Simon. Your Hanrahan Cousins.
