ThomasCASSIDYWith great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Thomas 'Tommy' Cassidy on Friday 2nd August 2024.

Tommy was much loved by all his family, extended family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A service will be held in celebration of his life at 12.45pm on Tuesday 27th August at Newcastle West Road Crematorium & Cemetery, Newcastle upon Tyne. This will be followed by a private committal. The family graciously requests that attendees wear formal or football attire. Family flowers only. If you wish to make a charitable donation in lieu of flowers in remembrance of Tommy's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to The 22q11 Northern Ireland or Alzheimer's Research UK. I am so sorry to hear that Tommy has passed, I saw him play many times for Newcastle United and score some great goals.
A few members of the Fairs Club had the pleasure of Tommy’s company in his back garden a few years ago, where he showed us some of his Northern Ireland caps, and told us some interesting stories about when he shared a room with George Best while on International duty.
Thanks for the memories Tommy, sleep well Bonny Lad. x 🙏🏼💐🏐
