(Deckham). Lol passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family after a valiant battle against cancer aged 84 years.

Much loved husband to Doreen, father to lan, Julie and Gary, granda to Libby and also father-in-law to Darrell, Brenda and Debbie. A great friend to many and a fabulous singer who will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.

A celebration of life to be held at Saltwell Crematorium on Monday 30th September at 12 noon.

By request family flowers only, donations in lieu of flowers will be gratefully received by the Macmillan Cancer Support. A donation box will be available at the crematorium.

A celebration of Lol's life will continue afterwards at the Ninepins, all are welcome.

What a beautiful man..I only knew him because he lit up the Moonlight Bar with his renditions of Sinatra..Sinatra had a nemesis and it was you Lol..I used to call you Mr Smooth..I don't know if you liked that..but my God you were..R.I.P. Lol..Nice & Easy Does It..Miss You..x..

I was so sorry to hear of Lols passing. We have many happy memories of enjoying your families company on Corfu for some years. Lol was a gentleman and a great singer. My thoughts are with you all at this time.

We were privileged to know Lol as a dear friend who made us feel more like an extension of their family. His sense of humour was second to none which often resulted in all of us including him crying with his infectious laugh. As for his singing he could have been right up there with any crooner, we were big fans and he will be a massive miss from our lives. RIP we love you loads Michael and Miriam
