Dear Aunt Marj,
Already annoyed you havn't I? Forget the aunt i'm just Marj you'd say to this young boy.
You bought me my first pair of jeans and a snake belt. You can get as dirty as you like, in these, they're for playing in you said. So i went to a building site and slid down mud hills all afternoon. Arriving back at your flat i remember you and Brenda picking me up under my arms carrying me and plonking me into the bath, telling me you didn't literally mean it, not that i knew what literally meant aged 7
Then 'are cuckoo's called cuckoos cos they say cuckoo i asked and you just laughed on one of our dog walks.
Then when Rossier arrived in the UK who has become my wife for the last 29 years you took her under your wing and she has never forgotten. You'd sit at the table chatting for hours as i did jobs in the garden etc and you'd always find things, whether sweets, cakes and money for Rossier to take home with her and being skint in the early days i asked if you'd order roses for our 1st anniversary. I gave you £25 and thought very generous of me and a £75 bouquet arrived for Rossier.
You survived against the odds a terrible car accident, well no accident as it was a drunk drivers fault and many say Marj is a battle axe so strong, well you where too mild mannered and kind to be a battle axe, you just had great faith and as tough as they come.
I remember moaning about a pain i had. Feeling awful as my pain was nothing you had to endure, you just said, everyone's pain is their own.
Thanking you for the inspiration and being there if we ever needed you or advice. I'd phone and ask you to put your doctor's hat on or just pick your brain about something.
Whenever we go out and see a church Rossier enters and lights a candle for her grandma, Phoebe the Westie and several times this past week a candle lit for Aunty Marj and a kiss with a prayer.

Love from Michael & Rossier.

Dear Marj,

It was an honour for us "mere carers" to care for you, a doctor! Something which we all used to joke about together!

May you rest in peace ❤️

All our love,

Sarah and Amy x

I don't know where to start! You were my GP when I started my family. You helped me just by listening when I lost my first son Daniel, and encouraged me to try again. I had my beautiful daughter Laura the following year and you were over the moon for me. By the time I had my second daughter Helen you had left due to your car accident and Dr David was my GP, unfortunately we've lost him this year too. I'm a grandma now and I will always be grateful for your encouragement dear Marjorie. So thank you and farewell until we meet again, God bless you. With fondest love from Ann Gittens (was Ogle) xxx

My last farewell to my dear friend of over 40 years!
We will be soon celebrating your life and what a life.
The most knowledgeable person I have ever had the good fortune to meet ! Educated and the ultimate bookworm and the only person I would have nominated for my phone a friend! It has been a pleasure to see you every single day , to cook, shop , care for you and be your Mr Fixit . To help you keep on smiling throughout! In return You taught me how to understand cryptic crosswords but I did teach you a couple of words namely “debenture” and lien 😜
I think the world should know your absolute favourite Meal was my recipe for slow cooked belly pork in gravy with apple sauce on the side.
My final call every day was always after 9:30 pm to administer your last medication of the day and make you laugh 😆 do the dingbat and the cryptic crossword sing a few songs have a trip down memory lane and always end with the Andy Williams song 🎵 May each day! 🎵 we have laughed and cried together, Holidayed in Florida with Debs together and put the world bang to rights together. You were always extremely grateful that my immediate family Debs and Jess tolerated my absence to assist you and you constantly acknowledged this every single week. I also will be eternally grateful to them for this 😘

You will always be in our thoughts and I will miss being able to discuss all the news especially about a certain Mr Trump with you 😂 but I have to accept that you are now in a better place than you were in your final days and you are now resting in peace 🧡 All our love now and forever Debs, Jess and Steve 🥰
You will be impossible to forget !
