So very sad. Pat's cheery voice will be much missed. Very fond memories of walks over Clent Hiils, even before I became a teenager!

Auntie Pat, I'll be thinking of you today and of course all of your family who'll be there at your send off, which I am sure will be full of love and fond memories. Some of the fondest stories I ever remember my dad telling me, were of you. You played a huge role in his life and I loved hearing all about this! <3

To my lovely special sister. You were always there for my brother David and I, especially after our Dad died suddenly in 1966. Your warmth and compassion were your hallmarks. We will miss your warm welcome, with a hug , a friendly smile and a tray of tea & biscuits. We hope you now rest in peace. Heaven will be even better for your presence. All my love, your brother Stephen xx

While writing this tribute to Pat it gave me the opportunity to reminisce the first time I met Pat and Bob as their daughter Judith’s boyfriend. Those sort of meetings can be quite tense but not so in this case as Pat and Bob made me feel so very welcome. In fact one of Pats major attributes was to make “everybody feel welcome” particularly with her very famous cup of tea and biscuits and maybe a piece of cake or even a sweet. Reading my son’s tribute to Pat it demonstrated also his early memories of Pat and her sweet tooth.

I remember all of the precious times of family gatherings, chats on the phone and particularly her courage to visit us in Australia travelling alone several times after Bob’s passing. She always supported Judith and I to make our own choices in life of which we both cherish and are eternally grateful.

Pat was instrumental on giving her time to the community through the WI and Methodist Church in order to help others Judith and I are most proud of her for that. People like Pat are few and far between and I was privileged to have had her as a mother-in-law.

She will always be loved as I always consider it’s not a goodbye but rather a “see you later”

Dear Mum
How very blessed we were to have you as our Special Mum.
You always showed us how much you loved us, with your kind and caring heart.

From our earliest memories we can remember you were always there for us, whether
it was walking us to and from school in all weathers and taking wonderful care of us
when we were unwell.
You always supported us and allowed us to make our own choices as we were growing up.

When our Dad passed away in 1992, your confidence and strength of character came
through for the next 32 years.

Through the help and support of your friends in Shenstone you became an active member
of the W.I and the Methodist Church Congregation, through these groups you helped many
members of the community of which John and I are extremely proud of you.

We have always loved you very much and this love will always remain in our hearts forever.

Judith and John
