MichaelGAVINOn Friday 26th June 2026 Michael Gavin passed away peacefully, aged 71 years, in the company of his family after a brief illness. Michael was well known and loved in the local area. He attended St Mary's College in Blackburn and excelled at many sports, in particular football and long-distance running, at which he represented the county. He was a keen artist, pool player and cook. He worked for thirty years for LCC Social Services before retiring in 2012 and leaves behind his loving wife, Tracy, children Kayleigh, Aidan and Patrick, grandchildren Betsy, Alice and Violet as well as sister Jane and brothers Paul and Sean. He was a friend to many and will be missed by all.
A service will be held at Accrington Crematorium on Friday 31st July 2026 at 11:40am. For those not able to attend, please raise a glass to his memory instead.
