With great sadness and regret we announce the death of Gaynor Diane Harkin on 20th August 2026,
in Castle Hill Hospital, following unforeseen complications during surgery for a heart condition.
Gaynor was an absolutely fabulous and loving wife to Sean,
a wonderful mother to Emma, Laura, Gareth and Kathryn and their partners Dan, Gareth, Sarah and Brick.
Daughter of the late Elizabeth (Betty), and a kind, caring and besotted grandmother to
West, Jade, Mason, Romilly, Theodore, Nate, Penelope, Wilf and Albert.
She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends, and by the many people who were fortunate
enough to know her.
Gaynor will be buried in a private ceremony at Priory Woods.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday 23rd September 2026 at 3:00pm at
the MKM Stadium, Anlaby Road, Hull. All who were acquainted with Gaynor are warmly welcome to join us in
remembering her, sharing stories, and celebrating the love she brought into the world.
No flowers please. Donations will be shared between Dove House Hospice, a cause close to her heart
and CICU (The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Castle Hill Hospital who worked tirelessly with Gaynor
during her stay).
