In loving memory of Michael ‘Mike’ Hughes. I’ll always have a little chuckle when I think back to two memories I have of him. One that happened when we were at Gillian and Mikes house visiting Laura, Ryan and Evelyn and had ordered a McDonalds. The order came and we dished it all out in the living room. Mike came down the stairs and Gillian passed him his Big Mac order in the hallway. And all we heard was Mike shouting through to Ryan expressing his disappointment at not having a Mac to try on. We all giggled like school kids in response. And my second memory is of asking Gillian and Mike to sit closer with their Granddaughter for a photo. To which Mike said “people will think I’m with her” to which Gillian jokingly nudged him and rolled her eyes at me. I said in response, “well just pretend like you like each other for the photo”.
Both of them laughed and moved closer together and then just as I took the photo, Mike moved in closer for a quick kiss.

Donation made in loving memory of Michael ‘Mike’ Hughes. Will always have a chuckle when thinking of Mike coming downstairs to collect his Big Mac and shouting through from the stairwell, that he was disappointed cause he thought Ryan had ordered him a Mac to wear.

And another time when I asked Gillian and him to sit closer together to take a photo of them with their Granddaughter, they both pulled faces and he said, “people will think I’m with her….” Gillian laughed and jokingly swiped at him. I said, “just pretend for the photo that you like each other… get a bit closer”. They both giggled and he lent in for a quick kiss.
