Maurice FrederickHULKSIt is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of a true gentleman who will be widely missed for his humour, intelligence, loyalty, kindness and tremendous sense of duty, demonstrated over his 95 years. Born in Wheathamstead, Maurice grew up in Cambridge, but was educated courtesy of the charity for disadvantaged children mentioned below, moving to Berkshire before retiring to Sidmouth. He was an active member of the Slough and Sidmouth Rotary Clubs, helping to raise money for good causes.

Loved, treasured and survived by David, Peter, Clair and families, his sister Pearl, and numerous much loved nieces and nephews. Now reunited with the love of his life, Ann (nee Vera Ann Prewer).

Funeral to be held on Thursday, 30th November 2023 at 1pm at East Devon Crematorium. All who knew him are welcome, and afterwards for refreshments. Donations please to Royal National Children’s Springboard Foundation (dedicated to giving disadvantaged children real opportunities in life and to whom Maurice owed a great deal) via Potburys Funeral Service, or online at potburys-funerals.co.uk.
