At the age of 89, John passed away peacefully at University Hospital, Ayr on 28 January 2025, surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of Yvonne and deeply missed by sons Andrew and Mark and daughters-in-law Corene and Sophie.

Funeral service at Masonhill Crematorium, Ayr, KA6 6EN on Wednesday 12 February 2025 at 12 noon.

No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to the Salvation Army, www.salvationarmy.org.uk, Registered charity number SC009359 (Scotland) and 215174 (England & Wales).

In my 30s I set out to find my Dad and also discovered my uncle John. John helped me have a positive relationship with Dad.
I am eternally grateful for everything that Uncle John & Auntie Yvonne did and to be a part of their family.
I really valued having such a lovely uncle, who will be sorely missed.
Rest in Peace Uncle John.
