What a kind and gracious man David. I only knew him fleetingly as his late sister Pat was married to my brother John.
However, when I was in the sixth form in QEGS Blackburn and played rugby I used to visit Blackburn rugby club and it was a great joy to be in his company. Always happy, sociable and a truly lovely person.
Condolences to Kath and the family at such a sad time. God Bless.

It was with great sadness that I heard of David's passing and I offer my sincere condolences to Kath and her family. In our younger days David and Kath worked along side me in the offices of an engineering company in Haslingden and as David was the next Drawing Office apprentice after me it it was my duty to implement his induction into the role. I have to say that David was a pleasure to work with and so to was Kath. My heart goes out to Kath and her family and I want you to know that my thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Respectfully yours

Sad to hear of the passing of my old classmate and team mate at rugby and basketball etc. Goods memories of “chemistry” experiments and youth hosteling. Last time I saw David I was surprised how big he had become since school days, something which served BRUFC well in his time there. Rest in peace Dave.
Respectfully, Bob Wade.
