LubaLAWRENCEIt is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of Luba, aged 70 years on the 28th May 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. The dearly beloved Wife of 45 years to Godfrey. Dearly loved Mum and Mum-in-Law of Nadia and Michael, Andrew, Joanne and Keith. Cherished Nana to Lydia, Oliver and Thomas. Great Nana to Lily. Also an Auntie, Sister-in-Law, Godmother, dear friend and work colleague to many. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday 15th June at 10am at St.Mary & St.James Ukrainian Catholic Church, Yorkshire Street, Rochdale, OL16 1LA prior to Interment at Rochdale Cemetery. Family flowers only but donations if desired can be made to Springhill Hospice. The family would like to express their grateful thanks to The Christie, The Royal Oldham Hospital, Wellfield Heath Centre, Springhill Hospice at Home Service, Macmillan Nurses, District Nurses, Routes Healthcare and Cherish Homecare Service for their outstanding compassionate care. Godfrey,don’t know if you remember me,I used to go to ADS in Rochdale,it’s Joanne,I’m so sorry for your loss.Luba was such an inspiration to me,a beautiful person inside and out,Iv only just seen this on the Rochdale observer page.I don’t know what to say,but I’ve got a lot of fond memories of you both.Sending all my love to you and all your family❤️💐🙏

Dearest Luba, only weeks since we last saw you at the bottom of the garden path and pledged to have another big family get together when all this was over. Ever thankful for your kindness, spirit, fun, humour, warmth and laughter you shared with us over all our lifetimes.
