Dave Lawson was the most loyal, caring and lovable friend ever, his strength, determination and incredible off road riding ability made him the mainstay of the Hampshire Police motorcycle trials team.
He and I rode together over many years in the International Welsh 2 day trials and with his help and trailer, he competed succesfully on heavy, converted Ex Police machines against the Met Police who had special Enduro motorcyles built for them. We rode side by side at speeds up to 80 mph along the Welsh forest tracks to avoid the dust and stones and won many medals. He helped us all mechanically to prepare and service the bikes. His strength and endurance was amazing.
He survived a serious medical issue and became well loved organising Abnormal loads through Hampshire and was well respected by the hauliers for his likeable attitude and caring nature.

I will never forget you Dave. RIP mate.
