A man, an angel,
Whose heart is truly real.
A smile as big as the ocean's swell
With a warmth you can truly feel.

And now his watch has ended.
Dawn has conceded
Our hearts are looted,
But our souls attribute-ed

Robert was truly one of a kind—a fun-loving soul who could strike up a conversation with anyone and leave them smiling. He had a natural warmth about him, the kind that made people feel instantly at ease, and a generosity that extended not just to friends, but to everyone lucky enough to cross his path.

To us, Robert was far more than a friend—he was family. He was always there, offering his support, his time, and his kindness without hesitation. He shared so much of life with us, and those memories will stay with us forever. From the sunshine and laughter of our days in Side, to exploring Windsor Castle together, to the peaceful, magical moments at the Christmas carol service in Gloucester Cathedral, are just a few, each memory is filled with his presence, his humour, and his joy for life.

What made those moments so special wasn’t just where we were, but that we were there with Robert. He had a way of turning simple days into unforgettable ones, just by being himself.

We will miss him deeply—his laughter, his friendship, and the comfort of knowing he was always there. But alongside that sadness is immense gratitude. Gratitude for having known him, even if only for a short time, for having shared those times, and for the love and light he brought into our lives.

Robert leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and connection. And in that, he reminds us to live as he did—to be open, to be generous, and to make the most of every moment.

Rest peacefully, Robert. You will always be loved, always remembered, and never forgotten.
