I only met Hazel a handful of times when she visited America many years ago. She was always cheerful and friendly. She was a good wife to David. She will be remembered kindly to me. I am brother to Meryl Lewis, ex wife of Christopher Lewis.

Hazel was my sister in law and aunt to my 2 children. She was so helpful in so many ways especially when we spent summers in Wales. She organized the refurbishment of the Rhyddings so it was perfect for us when we arrived from the US. We couldn’t have done it without her.
A great swimmer, tennis player, sailor and gardener, she excelled at whatever she tried.
David, my sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved Hazel.

My auntie Hazel was a special woman. Her energy was outstanding and her consistent cheerful attitude was impressive. She was a very positive, upbeat person and had a great sense of humor. She was a very loyal and loving partner to my uncle David. She loved her dogs - Bess, Jess, and Evie, and was skilled at training them to do all sorts of things. I have many memories of walking down the path from The Rhyddings to White Horses to have tea with her and Uncle David. Hazel always had so many yummy goodies to serve and was great at engaging even shy little girls (like me!). I also fondly remember boat trips on Tiggy, with Auntie Hazel acting as captain. I will really miss her and send my deepest condolences.

Love,
Meredith aka Merry
