WilliamLEYSHONHocking (Billy) After a long illness, Billy, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 29 at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital. Billy will be missed greatly by his loving wife of 40 years, Tina, daughters Amanda and Jolene, grandsons Travis, Troy and Ramone, son-in-law Carlos, brother Donn and all the family, and lifelong butty Ken Logan. The late great Billy "Leysh" will be remembered as leader of Pontypridd Town Council and Mayor. He was also Landlord of The Hollybush and Ty Mawr in Pontypridd, where he made many friends. During the glorious days of Pontypridd Outdoor Baths, where Billy and Tina fell in love, Billy was a popular lifeguard and Chairman of Pontypridd Swimming Club, where he taught hundreds of children to swim. The funeral will take place on Friday, June 11 at 11.15am at Glyntaff Crematorium. Afterwards, the family extend their welcome at Drill Hall, Treforest. Flowers are invited c/o Castle Court Funeral Home, Treforest or donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Royal British Legion.
