I already miss my big brother Dave and find it hard to imagine him not being around after our 70 odd years together. He was the eldest and tallest of us three boys so I always describe him as 'my big brother', much to the amusement of people who didn't know him. He was big in heart as well as stature and always ready with an anecdote around the dinner table. Sadly we have not found many occasions to meet in recent years but we did have telephone catch-ups when we would spend an hour exchanging family news, reminiscing and putting the world to rights.

In memory of my big cousin Dave. We all looked up to him metaphorically and actually. His generosity, kindness and love will continue to thrive because of the gift he gave to us.
