Mr Lodey was a very hard working man. I only knew him as a customer of his shop in Paris Avenue but he always took care of his customers and made them feel very welcome. He worked right up until the moment the angels came for him. A very sad day for everyone. He will now be looking down on his wonderful family and be at peace knowing that they are continuing to carry on his legacy. Rest in peace Bryan. You made the world a better place. You have so much to be proud of.

A widely respected, very hard working man, he built his business from a shop front in a terrace house to three supermarkets, so had little time for chatting. However, when his sons took over the day to day management roles, he was more relaxed and sociable. He provided an excellent service to the local communities and was a pillar of those societies.
