Just found out Wilf has passed away. He was my art teacher in the middle 60's and he would just set us an assignment, he then worked away at building penny farthing bicycles in a large pop bottles(He told me later I could have bought one at time and they'd become collectors pieces & some had gone to America!). I saw/talked to him many times after leaving school in the town and also at the Adega and he never forgot my name. He was such a pleasant man.
He'll always be remembered.
My deepest sympathy to al his family.

As a child I always loved watching you on Visio On. It felt special when you visited Deighton School to talk to us. In later years I remember speaking with you when I was working at Sainsburys in town.
What a lovely gentleman, I’m sure you’ll be missed by many.
Rest in peace.

Happy memories of our dog walking days in Kirkburton, Wilf. Such a clever, funny man. Sue Sykes

Such sad news of a dear friend from very long ago. When I was at rock bottom he helped me up and briefly took me under his wing, and made a difference. He once helped me paint a fridge red - not quite sure why but the fridge worked for many years...
