Kenneth CharlesMATTHEWSBeloved husband of Jean for almost 66 years, devoted Dad to Janet & Christine, adored Grandad of Tabitha & Benjamin and dear Brother-in-Law of Marjorie, passed away peacefully on 4th May aged 91. His knowledge, compassion and sharp wit will be sorely missed by family and friends. Head Boy at Arnold School Blackpool, Graduate of Balliol College Oxford and Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, Ken was a dedicated employee of CIS at Head Office, Manchester for his entire career. Funeral will take place at Rochdale Crematorium at 13:40 on 20th May followed by refreshments at The Waggon at Birtle. Family flowers only please – donations, if so desired, may be made to either Prostate Cancer UK or Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary via Sillets Funeral Directors, Radcliffe – 0161 723 2383/sillettsfunerals.co.uk The family wishes to thank staff in the Acute Medical and T3 Wards at the Royal Oldham Hospital and Miller House, ShawSide Care Village for their care during Ken’s final days.
