John JamesMORETONPassed away at Aintree Hospital on Wednesday 1st July aged 82 years

Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday 28th July 2026 at St Helen's Church, Crosby at 11:30am with cremation to follow at Thornton Crematorium at 12:45pm.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The British Red Cross.

Dear John, you and Marg made us so very welcome when Noel and I visited you on a trip to the UK. It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and you made such a lovely impression on me in the short time we had together. I will remember our afternoon chatting by the Christmas tree , cups of tea flowing and cakes in abundance . RIP dear John .

For as long as I remember Uncle John was a trusted voice of wisdom and experience, the cleverest man I knew.
It was under his guidance that I made the decision to go to college where I was introduced to new experiences and lifelong friendships.
