My memories of Marie
We met at St Malachy’s infants and we remained friends all through St Winefride’s and we both went to work for Dudley and Greens after we left school. Marie was the most lovely genuine down to earth funniest person, we would spend hours together when we first married and had kids, sitting in each other’s kitchens drinking tea. Sadly I saw her last at her 60th birthday party where she danced with Linda. I will always cherish the memories I have of Marie a real lovely warm family person. RIP Marie you will be sorely missed xxx

I remember Marie as my mum and Marie were best friends and remember being at the beach having picnics, when me and Kristen were little and lots of parties and her endless chats with mum.

I always remember Marie always made you feel welcome a real family person thinking of all the family at this sad time xx

Marie has been a friend of mine from the age of 11 we met just before we started saint Winefrides secondary school and became close friends we used to practice dancing every opportunity we could much to the amusement of our siblings who gave us constant “stick” she had a great sense of humour and I have some great special memories we went dancing in clubs in town and have had brilliant times we used to buy the same clothes in different colours we’d pool our wages together to buy them hers one week mine the next ! when she moved to Aigburh we kept in touch and wrote to each other (no phones then) we could always not see each other for months then just pick up where we left off when we did have phones we spent hours talking our kids played with each other at the beach at the park she was like family to me we enjoyed some lovely weekends away and had so many laughs with the girls the past eight years I lost my friend to dementia indeed all us girls her friends have missed her so much she was a real family person and always made everyone welcome to her home ( fed us all up with “goodies” and endless cups of tea!) and Maurice was sometimes there to provide the laughter how I will cherish her in my heart for ever Au revoir my lovely friend 💔💔💔💔
