GeoffreyPALMERdead: As Time Goes By and James Bond actor has died aged 93.

His agent confirmed that the TV and film star died peacefully at home.

Geoffrey starred in numerous popular sitcoms during his decade-spanning career but is perhaps best known for his role in As Time Goes By with Dame Judi Dench.

Geoffrey was made an OBE in 2004 for services to drama.

He was well known for his distinctive voice and jowly face structure, of which he once said: "I'm not grumpy. I just look this way."

He is survived by wife Sally Green, with whom he shares daughter Harriet and son Charles.

RIP Geoffrey Palmer. We’re fan of yours from your stint as Lionel on “As Time Goes By” with Dame Judi Dench. We watched many wonderful episodes on Saturday night on PBS here in Miami. Thank you for the good times fine Sir. You will live on in film forever. God bless you and may your family, colleagues and friends find lasting comfort during this sad time.
