Michael JohnPARRISHof Morpeth, passed away peacefully on Friday December 27th at the age of 81 years.

Michael was born December 31, 1942. He attended Sedbergh School and then worked tirelessly as a Businessman to support his family. He owned and operated several businesses including Parrish's Department Store and Greek & Continental Foods. In his free time, he enjoyed playing rugby, shooting, and was an avid reader. Mike was an honorary lifetime member of the Morpeth Rugby Club and a regular at the Joiners Arms as well as the Morpeth Public Library.

He is survived by his loving wife Christine; his sons Matthew (Heather) and Mark (Helen) Parrish; his granddaughters Hannah, Sophie, and Lucy; and his sister Judy Moody (Richard).

Funeral services will be held at Northumberland Crematorium on Friday, January 17th at 3pm with a reception at Morpeth rugby club to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Morpeth Rugby Club.
