I have only met Jeff a couple of times when we picked up our daughters from Ash Green school along time ago. But my daughter Kate is good friends with Jeff's daughter Sarah. Another good person gone to early.
With deepest sympathy

Daddy Peps,
I have lots of memories of you and I could be here all day. However I have narrowed it down to three moments in time. First, December 2019 when you arrived at my front door before your lovely daughter asked me to be a bridesmaid. I opened the door and there you were. It was just such a lovely surprise and brightened up my day. Secondly the Silvester German Christmas party, where you out storied my cousin in law with your Manchester story (rata tat tat). You had waffles and ice cream for the first time, I believe from Sarah you were often allowed to have this. In our house we now call it the JPP, aka Jeff Pepper pudding. Thirdly not too long ago you phoned me after my half marathon and left me a voicemail saying how great you thought it was that I had done it and raised the money. I still have it now as sometimes we all need a Jeff Pepper fix. I then phoned you back to say thank you and this was the last time I spoke to you. You told me you were proud of me for doing it and you really did make me feel better about completing it as I thought I had done an awful job. This is what I will always remember of you, the warmth, the kindness and the sense of humour. I am so sorry you are no longer with us. I promise to look after Sarah and always think happy thoughts of you. But for now I just want to say thank you for being in my life. All my love Kate xxxx

Jeff was our neighbour for 30 years and will be sadly missed. We often conversed on gardening and he kept his garden immaculate. He has been a stalwart through out his long illness and should be an inspiration to us all on how to cope against adversity.RIP
