TonyPIKEPeacefully passed away aged 68 on June 28th 2024 after a wonderful life.

Tony was born in 1956 in West Ham within the sound of the Bow Bells of Mary-Le-Bow Church in London, making him a very proud Cockney. He lived in the East End of London for many years before he followed his family to the 'new town' of Harlow, and in 2003 moved to & settled in Hinckley.

His first job was as an apprentice at Tate & Lyle on the Thames before qualifying as a carpenter. He worked hard in varied roles including the railways, lorry driving, and shop fitting, all of which meant he travelled to many places around the world which he loved.

After retiring, Tony became a volunteer for several organisations including FareShare, and enjoyed his passions of fishing, woodturning, watching football (especially his beloved West Ham), rugby, reading, and meeting up with family and friends.

His farewell celebration will be on Tuesday 30th July 2024 at 11:30 at Great Glen Crematorium, London Road, Great Glen, Leicester LE8 9DJ.

As Tony loved his bright shirts, please wear traditional attire and add a splash of colour.

Tony requested no flowers please; donations to Macmillan or LOROS very welcome at the farewell celebration or via www.gseller.co.uk/obituaries/tony-pike.

Beloved husband, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, godfather, and great friend to many. Tony will be forever treasured in our hearts.

Tony, I've really struggled to find the words and tell you how much I miss you. From the fishing trips to Hereford and Gloucester, you telling anyone who would listen how you stranded me in a boat and couldn't move off the bank for belly laughing. To sitting having a cuppa, you telling me about your apprenticeship, us talking football, fishing, rugby and whatever else came up. We go back such a long way and I can honestly say I have a friend forever. I hope your at peace buddy wherever you are. I promise you I will check in on Barb as often as possible. I miss and love you brother from the bottom of my heart. I am so glad we met and we will be friends for eternity. Sleep tight old boy. Miss you brother.
