JeanQUINNIt is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of our wonderful Mum, Dr Jean Quinn, who passed away on 1st July 2026 following a courageous battle with Motor Neurone Disease.

While we must acknowledge Mum's highly accomplished life and career as a doctor and many other roles since, her most important role to us was that of our Mum and a devoted Nanny to 6 grandchildren. We draw great comfort from the fact that she will now be reunited with our Dad.

The funeral will take place on Monday 27th July 2026 at 12.30pm in the South Chapel at Landican Crematorium, Wirral CH49 5LW.

Family flowers only but any donations in our Mum's name should go to either Wirral Hospice St John's or the Wirral Motor Neurone Disease Association.

Robert, Sarah, Emma, Andrew and Paul

Jean was a great doctor and a good friend. She educated me in the range and scope of primary care enabling me to develop in my role. She always had the needs of her patients as her first concern. She was also a key educator for many current Wirral GPs. But most importantly she loved her family and was always proud to describe their activities and achievements. RIP Jean 💔

Met Jean many years ago when we worked at St. Catherines Hospital, Jean was an anaesthetic registrar and I gave anaesthetic support, she was a lovely lady who made all around her feel valued. I met Jean again when she and Dr Shah set up a GP practice in Field road Wallasey, which later became St. Georges medical centre, Jean became our family GP for which we will always have fond memories, sleep well Jean xxx
