I first met janet when I was around 11 years old as she was a dear friend to JJ . They were great friends for many years beforehand and I think they worked alongside each other probably in Swindon.

Janet stayed with JJ when she first moved to Cornwall while looking for a house for Simon and herself. During that time I got to know Janet quite well and she taught me how to ride her horse dandy.... She would also let me have a go on her motorbike along the green lanes as a child , if you needed any guidance in life young or old I'd give a good reference for Janet to do the job.

Janet you were a wonderful person ,very caring and thoughtful along with being sharp straight to the point with no nonsense. I loved that about you and I'm greatly saddened to hear of your passing .

You are sure to shine bright wherever you rest just like you did in life ,brightening up any dull corner . I have very fund memories of you when growing up and I do feel that you made a big difference to who I am today.

My love goes out to Simon & family and to those who love you so dearly .

My deepest condolences and love Ross Xx

I've known Janet since around 1979 and in all those years I've never met a more caring person than Janet.
She would always be there if someone needed help.
Janet you will be sorely missed, a one-off.
Love Allen.

In memory of my big sister Janet.
When I was aged 3/4 years old Janet use to have me dancing with her in our living room to the latest sounds of the time. That was my first introduction to dance and drama and later we both became members of Swindon Youth Theatre. A couple of times we performed together in the local community drama productions at the Wyvern Theatre. When we lived in Park North Janet used to perform at the local gymkhana at the Polo ground and would bring her horse to our house to groom and prepare the horse for the show. Janet would give all the kids in the street a ride up and down the road. Janet was the first person to introduce me to alcohol with port and lemon. Although we have never been really close, probably due to our big age gap, I knew that if I had an issue/ difficulty in my life that she would be there for me. From one drama Queen to another, may your star shine brightly. Rest in peace Janet, love from your younger sister Jill. X
