Gill passed away peacefully on 6th October 2026 at Springhill Hospice.

Loved by all who knew her, and none more so than by her devoted husband, Dave, children Louise, Claire and Matt, brother John and her five adoring grandchildren.

Gill's funeral will be held at 2.00pm on Tuesday 20th October at St George's Church, Bury Road, OL11 4EB followed by Committal at Rochdale Crematorium at 3.00pm.

Gill and I met in 1965 at Greenhill Senior High School and have remained friends ever since. We shared a lot of memories and I shall miss her very much. My love to Dave and all your family. Tuffin (nee Firth)

Mrs Rhodes was my teacher for a number of years at Bamford Primary School, she was an amazing teacher and I've always remembered her fondly. I am so sorry for the loss to the Rhodes family and send my condolences.
