Sending so much love to Brenda and family. We have only got to know Colin over the last few years at Rochdale Harriers but I’ll never forget his dedication to running (standing at the finish line at xc with Brenda in all weathers) and also his encouragement to Ben, especially when he first started. Always a friendly smile and a chat, and the most humble of people. Will miss his chat in the foyer and on the sidelines at track. If only there were more people in this world like Colin.
I’ve asked Ben what he would like to say, and he’s said he was a kind, cheerful and honest guy who had a big impact on him - he’s not sure he would have done some of the races he’s done without Colin
Love from us both

Colin was a great role model to everyone in the running community. He was the first person I met when I joined Rochdale Harriers over 40 years ago. I have always been inspired by all his athletic achievements and his modesty. He was a lovely man and will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with Brenda, Kristian, Emma and family,
Anna Blomfield.
