In memory of Mary, a good friend who will be missed dearly.

Mary - what can I say which hasn't been mentioned already? Your elegance, dry sense of humour, charisma. You always made people feel good and were tremendous fun to be with, while never ignoring the serious side of life. Not a complainer, although you'd had much to complain about in life. You loved travel, and I was so glad that you took up my suggestion for what turned out to be your last holiday. You were always interested in other people, and always saw the funny side of life, summed up in a pithy phrase or a few words in a text. Your enthusiasm for life, and bonhomie, should be a lesson to those of us left behind, without your company. I will remember our meals out in York, that trawl along Bond Street when you 'just popped into' Gucci, Dior and of course your favourite LV, and of course Harvey Nichols where this photo was taken. When thinking about Mary the one thing that happens is that I smile. She always found something funny in any situation, good or bad, even when her health deteriorated. She never complained. If you had Mary in your life you had a wonderful, kind and hilarious friend. She will be sadly missed by us and everyone who knew her.

Mary was a truly lovely, gentle and kind lady. It was always a pleasure when she popped round during one of her many walks, she never failed to have a tale or two to tell that would brighten your day. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. RIEP
