Gloria VeronicaSUMMERFIELDGloria passed away peacefully at the Glenfield Hospital on the 16th November 2023 aged 87 years. She was a beautiful and loving mum, grandma, great grandma and aunty. A friend to many who will be remembered for her kind and friendly soul. A funeral service will be held at Markeaton Crematorium (main chapel) on Friday 8th December at 12:30. Floral tributes welcome, however if desired, donations for the British Heart Foundation, may be given at the service. All enquiries to Central Co-op Funeralcare, Littleover, Derby DE23 6FP. Thoughts and prayers to Sue and all the family at this sad time. I will miss chatting to Gloria and hearing her stories, especially from WW2 and her time as a pupil at Gayton School. I have passed her stories on to my current year 6 class at Gayton, who have loved hearing them. I feel very lucky to have had such a kind and generous neighbour growing up. Rest in peace with Den, Gloria. You will be truly missed. Love Rachel xxx

Gloria Summerfield Aka Nana by heart
What a truly kind, loving, caring, funny, heart warming lady. Not a bad bone in her body. Took me on 43 years ago and then my little boy, 8 years ago, as if her own. We are saddened to hear of your passing but it makes it feel a little easier, now you are with your beloved Den ❤
You will be missed and loved by so many and for us our lives will just not feel the same. May you rest in internal peace now. We love you so much. Till we meet again.
