AnneTELLINGIt is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anne Telling.
The Wife of Allan, 77 year old Anne,
leaves behind three children, Christopher,
Clare and Peter, three brothers, two sisters,
four grandchildren, and many friends and family.
Anne met Husband of 49 years, whilst working at John Lewis on Oxford Street, London.
Anne returned to her home town of Accrington
in 1978. A devoted teacher, Ann spent over 25 years teaching at St Anne’s and St Josephs Primary School, until her retirement, where she continued to work as a supply teacher, and took on the role of chair of governors for her beloved School. Anne had a passion for walking, and completed many 100+ mile walking holidays with her brothers and friends, including the Coast to Coast walk, between the West and East Coast of England. Anne also had a love of theatre, and not only spent many weekends in London, watching musicals in the West End, but enjoyed watching her local Theatre groups perform in Accrington and surrounding areas. Anne was part of many social groups including WI, Retired Teachers, scouting, walking and friendship groups.
Anne’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Oncologists, Cancer Team at Blackburn and Burnley, District Nursing team,
