Very sad to hear of Peter's passing. He saved the life of our precious German Shepherd, Luka years ago, he stayed with her until 3am to ensure his emergency work had been successful. Straight talking but compassionate, we will always be grateful for his prompt intervention. RIP. Jane & Steve Boon

Peter will be greatly missed for his dedication to the community via Rotary, his sense of humour and his story telling. It has been a privilege to know Peter and Meg.

I remember Mr Thompson in the late 1960s. My dog severed a blood vessel and I had to wait with him unconscious and in a pool of blood until the surgery had finished. It was so busy that it must have been 10.30 before he was able to operate on my poor Kim. By this time Mr Thompson's assistant had gone home so I had to stand in and try to help! I was about 20!
All ended happily and having no transport he ran me and an unconscious Kim home. He was so kind, he came in and laid him on the mat in front of the fire. Many years later he had the unhappy job of putting Kim to sleep.
Later again owning a cat who was a little bit of a fighter he had to deal with cat bites for him.
Happy memories of a very kind man.

Fond memories of Mr Thomson. He was such a lovely Vet. We had two Springer Spaniels in the 1970’s and we always asked for Mr Thomson when our dogs needed attention.
He always called our younger dog, Gemma, the ‘piddling pup’ as she’d had an infection sometime before. I’ve never forgotten.
RIP Mr Thomson. Such a lovely man ❤️
