DorothyVESTYPassed away peacefully at Kingsfield Court Care Home on Tuesday 19th November 2024 aged 90.

A wonderful loving Wife to Den, a fun-loving Mam to Denise, Martin and David and treasured Mother In Law to Andrew, Paula and Sharon.

A proud Grandma to Mitchell, Katie, Edward, Amie, Nathan, Bethany and Bradley and a cherished Great Grandma to Hugo and Jin, Daisy, Katie, Josh and Lara.

Mam lived for her family and was the glue that held us together. Now reunited with her beloved Den after 7 weeks apart. To us all, she was Simply The Best.

A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held at All Saints Church, Newtown Linford on Monday 16th December at 12:00pm followed by burial at Groby Cemetery.

No need to wear mourning clothes, please feel free to come as you are.

Flowers welcome or donations if preferred to The Alzheimer's Society with any further enquiries to Central Co-op Funeralcare 131 Humberstone Road Leicester LE5 3AD Tel 0116 2516906

Mafia moma 😊
The most amazing
Mother, mother in law and Mommar.
Truly one of the strongest and empowering women we have ever had the good fortune to have in our lives.
You touched everyone with your Family values along with honesty and respect.
Many beautiful memories, especially the shopping trips and popping out for tea and cake.
The love and devotion to your children and grandchildren is admirable.
Our very own Tina Turner
Simply The Best.
Sadly missed but never forgotten.
With love and thanks for everything over the years.

Grandma, You were truly the BEST ever! I miss hearing your voice and speaking with you (Whilst having a cigarette ) But the words that will always stay with me are ' Hello ma baby ' Everytime you answered the phone you would say that! Those words will be with me forever! You will have the best Christmas with grandpa and with us all too. I love you to the stars and back grandma and always will. Miss you more than words can express too. Love always, Nathan &

Grandma, I remember a poem I wrote for you when I was little. At the end it said 'my Grandma will never die'. You carried it with you in your purse. And now, no matter how sad I feel writing this, I think of how much you meant to everyone, how much everyone loved you, and all the memories we have, and it's true - you'll never really be gone as we'll carry you with us always xxx
