We were born in the same week and lived next door to each other, so we didn’t just grow up together — we grew up side by side.

I’ll always be grateful for those years: the 1970s and 1980s, full of the ordinary days and adventures that became such a big part of our lives. Having you there made my childhood richer, and those memories will stay with me.

You were my cousin, my neighbour and a constant in those early years. I feel lucky to have shared them with you, and I’ll always hold that time close.

Although I sadly never had the pleasure of meeting Rob, hearing all the wonderful stories about him and seeing how much happiness he brought to the lives of those around him says so much about the person he was. It’s clear he was a truly special man who touched so many hearts, and I have no doubt that his love and spirit will live on through his amazing wife Amanda and beautiful daughter Emma.

We’re thinking of you all and sending you so much love ❤️

All our love,
Chloe, Jack, Cooper & Luna xxx

I was very lucky to call this man my husband for 31 years. We shared a lot of history and many many happy memories together and he gave me the best gift of all in Emma.
He was kind, brave, selfless, grounded, hardworking, clever and exceptionally funny.
Hearing what he meant to others brings some comfort to me and Emma at this heartbreaking time. Our lives will never be the same and we’ll never forget him, he’ll always be a massive part of eveything.
I love you with all my heart Rob and always will. You made me a better person xx
