To my dear friend Geoffrey, we first met in my late teenage years and immediately formed a bond between us which remained for the rest of our lives.
Geoff was Best Man at my wedding in 1959 and together with our wives Betty and Brenda, this bond continued between our 2 families.
Although leaving Leek in 1970 our close association continued until recently,, visiting each others homes regularly and taking many happy holidays together at home and abroad.
Throughout his life Geoffrey has achieved an enormous amount of charitable work, especially with regard to disadvantaged children and their welfare.
A cause with which he worked with a passion.
Latterly at the untimely passing of my wife Betty in 2012, Geoff and Brenda were a pillar of strength at the most difficult of times, a measure of their love and understanding.

Rest in peace my friend, a life of selfless good works comes to an untimely end.
