I've known Phil and Gill well over 50 years. In the early days Gill looked after many students who logged with her. I remember when Gill enrolled on her 'O' level Maths and English courses at Tile Hill college whilst she delivered the Observer newspaper, she was so hardworking. Later on she started selling items from her drive whilst going to car boots. In the last few years after Phil and Gill moved we still kept in touch and they both could be counted on many times taking in our children as they left school. Ever Christmas I remember Gill always came around to drop of tubs of sweets for our kids, right up to recent times. Over the last few years every time when Gill had to stay in hospital she would call me to tell me she was in and we would spend hours talking about hospital food, treatment and cheapest energy providers etc amongst other things. She will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her, I certainly will miss our chats.
