Jack HenryABELLOn 17th April 2019, Jack passed away peacefully in Hospital, aged 94 years. The dearly beloved Husband of the late Margaret, a loving Father to David and Father-in-law to Barbara and caring Grandfather and Great Grandfather. A former Picture Editor at The Manchester Evening News. The service and committal will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2019 at Dukinfield Crematorium, at 1:30pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to Macmillan Cancer Care. Donations & enquiries please to Brian Sharples & Son, 52 Stockport Road, Marple SK6.

Jack was always a gentleman, always a professional. As a very young freelance photographer in Stockport in the 60s, I did a great deal of work for The Manchester Evening News. Jack was one of those pictures editors who, just like his father, you could trust, and who inspired respect.
