Suddenly on 6th June 2010, aged 80 years, Alan Emeritus, Professor of Engineering Mathematics at Newcastle University, beloved husband of the late Lisl, much loved father of Martin and Susan, father-in-law of Richard and a devoted grandpa of Sarah and Katie. Would family and friends please meet for service at West Road Crematorium on Wednesday 16th June at 1.00pm. Family flowers only. A retiring collection will be held in aid of the Coronary Care Unit at Freeman Hospital.
