Sadly passed away peacefully at home, after a brave battle, aged 81 years, on 22nd April 2016, beloved husband of the late Joan, much loved son of the late William and Elizabeth (Betty), loving dad to Lorna and Dawn, sons-in-law Colin and John, devoted granda to Andrew, Chris, Rachel, Richard and partners Juliet, Kerrie, Adam and Louise, dear brother to Harry and Pauline. Family, friends and companions please meet at South Shields Crematorium on Friday 6th May at 12.30pm and afterwards at the Iona Social Club, Station Road, Hebburn, NE31 1PN, to celebrate his life. Family flowers and Association Wreaths only, donations to Cancer Research, a box will be available at the crematorium. Dad is currently resting at the Chapel of Rest at Dunedin House, 168 Albert Road, Jarrow. Will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. 'Love will be found the sweetest song of all'
