John ChristopherALLENTorquay Musician Aged 99. John succeeded Douglas Swallow as leader of the Worthing municipal Orchestra. Born in Devon he played the violin aged seven. He travelled extensively as a soloist, broadcaster and recording artist. A member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen-a skilled violin maker with many fine instruments passing through his hands.Funeral at the Co-op Barton rd 12.00pm 03/06/19. Donations to 'Help Musicians UK'. Sadly missed by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
