IreneALLENDied peacefully at home with her daughter Joanne and granddaughter Jessica by her side after an ongoing battle with cancer, on Thursday 22nd May 2025 aged 83 years.
Loving wife of the late Stewart.
Devoted mam of Joanne and Clair.
Also a treasured nanna of Jessica, Alex, Sam and Tom.
Would all please meet for funeral service at West Road Crematorium on Tuesday 3rd June at 2.00pm.
Family flowers only please but donations gratefully received on behalf of Daft As A Brush a collection box will be available following the service.
All welcome afterwards to The Benwell Hill Cricket Club.

Beautiful little Irene inside and out. I’ve known you for so many years and happy memories of coming for tea, sleepovers and bumping into you at newburn walking our dogs x always happy and bubbly and a good neighbour to mam and dad x You went through so much but still smiled x Hope Stewart and your loved ones were there to meet you x Sleep well pain free now x Goodbye and God Bless lovely lady x Stef x
