EdwardALLIS(Forest Hall) Edward "Ed" Allis passed away suddenly but peacefully in hospital on 24th March 2022. Devoted husband of Hilda, much loved father of John and Helen. Ed will be sadly missed by his family and his many, many friends everywhere. The funeral will be held at 12.30pm on Friday 8th April at the West Road Crematorium, Newcastle. We will then be going to the Border Minstrel at 2pm to remember Ed and celebrate his life. Family flowers only please, if you wish to donate to charity please consider either Cancer Research or Newcastle University Cancer Centre. A link of the funeral service will be made available for those who are unable to attend. I am terribly saddened by the news. Ed was a wonderful man, who I will miss dearly, the laughs, the banter and the cheeky conversations we had when he came to the gym. Sending my love to Hilda and Family

Edward was our neighbour for 27 years. We couldn’t have asked for better.
He was a true gentleman and we will miss him terribly.

Ed was a wonderful and generous man, a very good friend and tremendous company. His repertoire of stories was always entertaining and highly amusing. He will be sadly missed by his many friends and colleagues especially those of us who met him 2 or 3 times a week for coffee at the Nuffield gym. You will always be remembered with great fondness. Rest in peace, Ed.
