Terence GeorgeALTOFTPassed away on Saturday 29th October 2022 at home, aged 85 years. A treasured husband, dad, grandad, great-grandad and brother. Funeral service will take place at Woodlands Crematorium, Scunthorpe on Thursday 17th November at 2.00pm. Family flowers only. I hadn’t seen Terry for many years but I remember him fondly from almost 40 years ago, in my early years at British Steel (Appleby Coke Ovens), a thoroughly nice man. My most sincere condolences to Terry’s family.

I am so sorry to hear about Terry.

I first met him in 1983 on a management course and then he acted as my mentor when I had a secondment to Appleby Coke Ovens.

His knowledge of the by-products was second to none and he taught me a great deal about life, the process and how to ‘manage’ people.

Thank you Terry for all your help and guidance during the early part of my career.

My thoughts are with his family and close friends.
