Philip JohnAPPLEBYIt's with shock and sadness that we must announce the sudden death of Philip. 'Pip', aged 65 years, died peacefully in his sleep on 28th June whilst on a trip to Jerusalem, Israel. He is survived by his two daughters, Katie and Louise, his son, Tom, his sisters, Jude, Jac and Jen, his partner Catriona and her son and daughter, Finlay and Rona. He was a doting Grandfather, had countless friends and extended family throughout the world and he will be sorely missed. Pip has had a varied and full life. He had worked for H.M. Army, the RAF, Northumbria Police, Newcastle University, an advertising start up in Sri Lanka, Ministry of Defence, HMRC and was currently working as a Civil Servant with the National Crime Agency. In his spare time, he was passionate about helping those less fortunate and improving life for us all. He had volunteered for several charities, for his local Church, was involved in Politics, helped Eastern European countries after the fall of the Iron Curtain, was an active Freemason and was currently assisting in the Asgardian project. He had lived throughout planet Earth but always called Wylam "Home". His funeral will take place at St Oswin's Church, Wylam, on Wednesday 12th July at 11am prior to interment at Ovingham Cemetery. The family requests that instead of flowers, a donation is made to Rescue Animals Sri Lanka and Medical Battalion 'Hospitallers', two charities close to Pip's heart. These may be sent c/o 1 Kepier Chare, Crawcrook, Ryton, NE40 4TS 0191 4132318
